What is a LED? How does it work?

A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor light source that emits light when current flows through it. Electrons in the semiconductor recombine with electron holes, releasing energy in the form of photons.

Am I looking for an Indoor or Outdoor LED Wall?

This question is important because outdoor panels are generally more expensive than indoor panels. The primary difference is resolution: Since outdoor panels are usually seen from further distances, screen resolution will be lower. Outdoor LED panels will likely be brighter because they are used in sunlight and will be more durable as they need to withstand weather conditions: dust, moisture, dirt, etc. Outdoor panels will consume more energy as well. On the other hand, indoor panels have higher resolution, are less durable to weather, but consume less power. For all these reasons, we recommend indoor panels, unless you need to use an outdoor screen.

How close will my audience need to be to the LED Wall?

The minimum viewing distance of your audience will depend on the pixel pitch of your panels:

What form of installation do I need?

The most common techniques are: Ground Support: A stable system combining a base unit, connection bar, and ladder truss, offering flexible height and width configurations for LED screens. Flown (Rigging): Screens are suspended from an overhead truss, ceiling grid, crane, or similar structure, requiring sufficient structural ceiling support.Wall Mounted: Panels can be drilled and mounted into the wall, providing a clean, aesthetic look with easy maintenance but at an extra cost.

What is the service and maintenance of LED panels?

Most LED Panels are rated for 60,000 to 100,000 hours. You’ll have these panels for a long time and will get a lot of life out of them. In the case something malfunctions, you can contact us and we will give you all the information to properly service and maintain your panels.

What types of LED are there?

Indoor and outdoor LED displays.

What should be my LED Wall size?

The answer is based on the space you have available. You don’t want too small of a screen, nor would you want too big of a screen in a small venue.The next important question: is how much space do you have on your stage? A general rule is to take the width of your stage and subtract 10 feet. For example, if the width of your stage is 50 feet, then a 40 foot LED wall would be appropriate.

What brightness and proper resolution should it be?

Indoor LED displays typically have a brightness of 1000-1500 nits, while outdoor displays range from 3500-6000 nits to ensure visibility in various lighting conditions. Pixel pitch refers to the distance in millimeters between the centers of two LED clusters or pixels, and resolution is the number of pixels within a specific area of the display. A higher pixel density provides greater detail, with a general guideline of 2.5 feet of optimal viewing distance per millimeter of pixel pitch.

What Refresh Rate are your panels?

We offer high refresh rate panels. If you broadcast online, you’ll want to ensure your panels have a refresh rate of no less than 3840 Hz. Low refresh rate panels will result in wavy lines that will distract your audience.

What kind of Warranty do you offer?

Our warranty is included in the overall price. We offer a 5‑year warranty on all of our LED Wall panels.

What do I do if a pixel stops working?

In the case that a pixel fails or is not functioning properly, we simply remove the module and replace it with a spare.

How Much Does an LED Wall cost?

There is no simple answer. These factors listed below will affect the overall cost.

1) Pixel Pitch: The lower the pixel pitch, the higher the cost.
2) Size: The larger the wall, the more panels you’ll need.
3) Refresh Rate: Refresh Rates 3840hz and higher are referred to as “high refresh rate”. This will contribute to a high panel cost.
4) Installation Method: Your installation method will affect the overall cost.
